DAY 1: OKAVANGO DELTA

The Okavango Delta offers a very different water based safari experience. The Okavango River empties into the sands of the Kalahari desert, creating a body of water that rises and falls between the season from 9 000 to 16 000 square Km. These lakes and lagoons attract high concentration of diverse wildlife species that produce an unforgettable safari adventure. Explore the network of waterways with experienced guides in canoes and motor boats. Nature walks on various islands, will allow you to observe some of the bigger animals in this African oasis. The viewing of birdlife is immense and the chance to fish for Tiger Fish is offered.

Your plane is scheduled to land in Maun, Botswana. A representative from your camp will escort you to a light aircraft for your air transfer to Oddballs Enclave.

DAY 2 & 3: OKAVANGO DELTA

Oddballs' Enclave is situated on the edge of Chief's Island, deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is accessible by light aircraft only. On arrival you will be met at the airstrip and welcomed to the island. Accommodation is in meru style tents with en-suite facilities and set on elevated wooden decks shaded by reed shelters.

The activities at Oddballs’ Enclave usually start by mokoro, after which you will walk on some of the larger islands in the area. Walking is an integral and significant part of the experience at any time of year. The extent of the walks will depend on your tastes.

Guests usually go out in the early morning, having a late breakfast on their return, and again in the afternoon after the midday heat has dissipated, but some elect to go out for the whole day with a packed picnic lunch. It is often said that the very best way to experience the wonders of the African bush is on foot and Oddballs’ Enclave certainly lives up to that claim.

DAY 4: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

After your morning game activity, your pilot will fly you in a light aircraft to KasaneAirport. A representative from ElephantValley lodge will transfer you to their lodge.

The Chobe region is home to the largest population of wild elephant in the world. This is estimated to be approximately 120,000 individuals. Their sometimes daily passage takes them from Zimbabwe through the Chobe and on into Namibia before returning. ElephantValley Lodge lies along one of these routes and is situated in the KasaneForest, which is adjacent to the ChobeNational Park. At 15h30 you will depart on your first game drive in the Chobe.

DAY 5: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

At ElephantValley, they have found that a morning cruise along the ChobeRiver provides a couple of distinct advantages, which include the following; During the morning the river is distinctly less busy with fewer boats. This also permits a longer experience, assuming that sightings kept us busy, and we do not have to cut the trip short to get back before sunset. It does also permit a greater length of the river to be explored.

In the afternoons the ChobeNational Park is conversely less busy and we are able to enjoy a sundowner along the river to capture the sunset on camera. It is also during the late afternoon that game becomes most active.
