The greatest sports event, the FIFA Soccer World Cup is to be held in South Africa between the 11 June and 11 July 2010. More than a billion people are expected to follow the month long tournament between the world's top 32 soccer playing nations.

 

The tournament will be host by the cities of Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth, Nelspruit, Rustenburg and Polokwane. Each city will boast new and upgrade stadiums in which to showcase this international sports spectacular.

South Africa has taken direction from Germany and will erect Fan Parks in every World Cup host city during 2010. Fan Parks will give soccer fans, who can't get a ticket for the matches the chance to watch the games on big screens in a festive environment; for free. Here you can enjoy the match in the company of soccer mad locals, known for their welcoming character and ability to have a great party.
