Private, romantic, self-catering cottages nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg mountains near Robertson. Less than 2 hours from Cape Town you can find peace and privacy.

Tierhoek Farm, long with sister farm Spaarkloof Farm, is a working organic fruit farm. Here you will find apricots, peaches, lemons, quinces, mangos, clemintines, satsumas and organic vegetables. There is also an abundance of wildlife from klipspringers and baboons, to porcupines and Jackal Buzzards and you may even hear the call of the leopard in the mountain.

Accommodation

Tierhoek Cottages comprises four cottages and two houses which comfortably accommodates 32 guests.

Fig Tree House(Sleeps 10 adults + 2)

Magnificent setting with sweeping views down the valley. Elegantly decorated house with fully-equipped kitchen, pantry, open plan dining room and sitting room with fireplaces at each end. 1 Queen and 4 Twin rooms (2 are in the cottage) which can be made into double beds – all have own bathrooms. One bedroom in main house can become a dormitory for 4 guests. Cottage has fully equipped kitchen. TV with DSTV (Bring own card) and DVD. Large, fully-fenced pool. Wrap-around stoep with protected back area for braaing.

Pepper Tree Cottage(Sleeps 2)

One-bedroom romantic cottage with queen-size bed and king-size bath! Fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, gas-stove and a microwave. An elegant sitting-room with open fireplace and French doors onto shaded stoep. A deep plunge-pool leads off the stoep, there is an outside braai under the pepper tree and a Weber. There is also a CD music system (no TV).

Stone Cottage(Sleeps 2)

One-bedroom, very private romantic cottage with king-size bed and open fire place. Victorian bath for two, exotic out-side shower. Fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, braai and gas stove. An elegant sitting-room with open fireplace. French doors open onto a shaded stoep with a braai place. A deep plunge-pool leads off the stoep and some of some of the most amazing views we can offer.

Quince Cottage(Sleeps 4/6, 1 dbl, 2 singles, 2 bunkbeds)

Very private romantic cottage with own swimming pool. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds and an alcove with bunk-beds, ensuite bathroom with shower and loo. Bedroom 2 has queen-size bed. Further bathroom with shower and bath with a view. Fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, gas-cooker and microwave. An elegant sitting-room with open fireplace and CD player. French doors lead onto shaded stoep with open braai and room to relax. There is a private swimming pool,. Stunning views.

Lucky Bean Cottage (4 with 5th on sleeper-couch)

Two-bedroom cottage with 1 double and 1 twin-bed room. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave. Open plan sitting room with sleeper-couch, CD player, TV with only a video player and a selection of videos. Bathroom with bath and shower. Inside and outside fireplace and Webber braai. This cottage is next door to Tierhoek House and has full access to the swimming pool (fully fenced).

Tierhoek House(Sleeps 4 with 5th on sleeper couch)

This is the main farmhouse and is elegantly decorated with high quality fittings and furnishings with a wrap-around stoep and stunning views. 1 double and 1 twin-bedded room, two sitting rooms, one with open fireplace and one with sleeper couch. Large, fully-equipped kitchen with two fridges, stove and microwave. Washing machine, dish-washer, CD player, TV with DSTV (bring your own card) and video. Large dining table for long lunches and memorable suppers. There is a bathroom with bath and shower and a further loo off the kitchen. A deep cool private swimming pool (fully fenced). This is your family farm house in a beautiful setting.
