The Retreat at Groenfontein is a Victorian farmhouse
situated north east of Calitzdorp. It is set in 560ha of the Groenfontein
Valley Conservancy, bordering on the Swartberg Nature Reserve.
Accommodation
The Retreat offers 2 garden family suites with an extra room
with 2 single beds and 2 garden rooms away from the house with great views of
the mountains from their private terraces.
All have king-size beds and sitting-areas by a fireplace. 3
have Victorian bath and shower, the smaller room has only a shower.
There are also 4 comfortable en-suite bedrooms in the main
house, with entrance onto a patio, also with king-size beds.

The Retreat is ideally situated for day trips to the Swartberg Pass,
Meiringspoort, Seweweekspoort, Montagu Pass, the coast and more.

simply stroll along the peaceful, winding lanes of the Groenfontein Valley.
