Shikwari is situated approximately 35kms
from Hoedspruit. The accommodation and reserve is nestled below the majestic Northern Drakensburg
Mountains in the Limpopo Lowveld.
Its location makes Shikwari Game Reserve
an eco-wildlife holiday. It is a short drive to the Kruger National Park and
close to Blyde River Canyon. Here you can visit Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls,
Three Rondavels, The View, God’s Window, Burkes Luck Potholes, Mac Mac Falls
& Pools, and the towns of Graskop and Pilgrims Rest.
Accommodation
Accommodation is either in luxury suites
with private bathroom or in comfortable rustic rondavels with shared
accommodation.
Shikwari suites are all 4 Star graded.
There are five of them and each can accommodate two guests. Each suite is
individually decorated and well-appointed with a hospitality tray with a supply
of Homemade Cookies, freshly ground coffee, coffee plunger and quality teas.
There also is a mini bar stocked on request to guest’s requirements. Guests
can choose between king-size or twin beds.
The en-suite bathrooms have large oval
baths, basin and toilet and all the suites have outdoor showers. A range of
specially chosen natural bath products is offered.
Pangolin
Rondavels is a camp set around a pool in a garden with communal facilities.
This camp is separate from the Shikwari Suites camp.
There are four
rondavels accommodating two adults each. They all have a bed, bedside tables, a
wardrobe, a searting luggage rack, hospitality trays with a kettle,and a
fridge/freezer. One rondavel has a private Bush Bathroom with toiletries, while
the others share a large family bathroom. Guests can choose between king-size
or twin beds.
