Montpellier provides a romantic setting for a country getaway, with a charming hillside chapel, picturesque wedding venue and old Cape style guest house. Founded in 1714, this historical Boland Farm is embraced by "the mountains of fear" (Montténére). Enjoy a farm getaway whilst relaxing next to the pool in summer or take pleasure in a glass of red wine in winter with a fire glowing in the background.

Guests can enjoy stunning views of the mountains surrounding Tulbagh valley and the Montpellier vineyards. Horses graze peacefully near the manor house.

Accommodation

The accommodation is located near the vineyards with large oak trees providing ample shade in the gardens. Breakfast served at 9:00am unless otherwise arranged.

Monpellier comprises of Bed & Breakfast and Self-Catering units.

Bed & Breakfast
The Manor House consist of 4 Spacious, antique furnished rooms with bathrooms and a lounge with fireplace and a dinning room that seats ten people.
            
Annex consist of 3 Spacious, antique furnished rooms with en-suite   
bathrooms and a lounge.

Self-Catering units
Rietdakkie A consists of a bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only) and a kitchen/dining room with a fireplace.

Rietdakkie B comprises of two bachelor units each consisting of one large room with en-suite bathroom (shower only) integrated with a kitchen/dining room with a fireplace.

Each self-catering unit has basic kitchen utensils, bedding and towels and a bundle of firewood are supplied.

Activities

Guests can book horses for riding sessions, or they can walk, run or cycle through the vineyards and into the village of Tulbagh. With Paarl, Wellington, Riebeeck-Kasteel and Riebeeck-West and Stellenbosch all in close proximity to the farm, there is always something to do.
