Vaal Dam

Vaal Dam is situated 56 km south of Johannesburg on the Vaal River in Vanderbilipark close to Vereeniging. It lies right on the border of Gauteng and Free State. The dam is South Africa’s second biggest dam by area. With more than 800 km of shoreline, it’s a popular spot for fans of water sports such as boating, skiing and swimming, making it a great weekend getaway for family and friends.
