Kapama is one of South Africa’s largest privately owned game reserves, perfectly positioned in the Limpopo province safari area, renowned for its high density of big game animals. A game drive in Kapama Game Reserve, with a qualified ranger and expert tracker, reveals wild animals and many secrets of the African bush.

Kapama has three styles of safari accommodation, each creating a distinctly different safari experience. To find which of Kapama’s accommodation choices is right for you.

Kapama River Lodge – an impressive and elegant large safari lodge that can accommodate groups without compromising its high standards. Contemporary African décor in double volume thatch lounges create a cavernous effect and the open plan design extends to the pool deck with a large rim-flow pool looking towards a waterhole.

Kapama Buffalo Camp - 10 timeless tented safari style, with en-suite rooms perched on platforms high above the riverbed and connected to each other by wooden walkways. This is a favourite because of its intimate rustic feel and al-fresco dinners around the open fire.

Kapama Karula - Set on the banks of the perennial Klaserie River, lies the superior suites, suites and two luxury tents make up Kapama Karula - "the place of peace".
