Kambaku River Sands (Kambaku means Solitary Bull elephant), which takes its name from one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’ tuskers, famous for their impressive and very heavy tusks, who roamed the Kruger Park for the greater part of the last century, is situated in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which makes up the western boarder of the Kruger National Park.

This unfenced camp is ideally situated on a perennial river with continuous free flowing movement of game both big and small through the camp.

All ten thatched suites are elegantly decorated, and boast private viewing decks with spectacular views of either the dry River bed or the surrounding bush. All sliding doors are protected with mosquito netting and beds draped with classic white satin nets.

In each suite, guest will find a mini bar, a bathroom with a spa bath, a double shower, a private toilet, and an outdoor shower. Each suite is air-conditioned.
