Hotel Heinitzburg is situated on the “Luxury Hill”, five minutes drive from the city center, overlooking the capital and its remarkable highlands. Originally commissioned in 1914 by Count von Schwerin for his fiancée, Margarethe von Heinitz, this German castle was later turned into a privately owned hotel in 1996.

Accommodation

The Heinitzburg today offers 16 spacious generously appointed en-suite rooms, made up of four Pool-Side Double Deluxe Rooms and twelve twin deluxe rooms, each with its own superb view.

All rooms have individual air-conditioning / heating units, direct telephones, electronic safes, mini bars, televisions with cable channels and music facilities.

Facilities

The castle has four restaurants, namely, the Garden Terrace, Felsenkeller, Leo’s at the Castle and the Knights Room. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be enjoyed on the terrace with a superb view over the city and its surroundings. “Felsenkeller” is situated in the cellar, which is stocked with carefully selected vintage treasures and built into the mountain rock. Within the original castle, the “Knight’s Room” is a wood paneled room featuring authentic historical artwork from local artists. Leo’s at the Castle overlooks the capitals skyline and serves varied cuisine, from international to French a la carte.

Other facilities and services offered by the hotel include, a fresh water swimming pool, a meeting room, laundry services, baby sitting, in-house massages and private transfers on request.

Day Tours and Safaris can be booked through reception. Golfing and horse-riding are within a 5km radius from the Hotel.
