HillsNek Safaris is a 4 star lodge
positioned in a secluded corner of the Amakhala Game Reserve in the
malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa.
Set on the banks of the Bushman’s
River with a breathtaking vista of rolling African plains, it offers an
unprecedented safari experience.
The Amakhala Game Reserve is
renowned for its spectacular topography and boasts 5 of South Africa’s
7 biomes. It is a particularly diverse and picturesque reserve, and has the
Bushman’s River meandering through it. Amakhala boasts an abundant variety of
wildlife including the Big 5, and over 250 species of birdlife thereby offering
dynamic and abundant wildlife experiences on game drives, night drives, walking
safaris and boat cruises.

lodge and 3 private safari canvas safari tents.
Main Lodge
The stone, canvas and thatch main
lodge consists of an open plan lounge, bar with sitting area and dining-room
with decks overlooking the surrounding vegetation. The entire canvas front of
the lodge can be opened up to best enjoy the surrounding landscape.
The stone swimming pool sits front
and centre on the main deck allowing one to relax and enjoy the African
sunshine and it’s parading wildlife.
Tent Suites
HillsNek Safaris consists of 3
individual luxury canvas safari tents set on expansive wrap around wooden decks
with panoramic views. All 3 tents are linked to the main lodge by raised wooden
walkways. The tents are complete with an en-suite bathroom and romantic outside
shower. They are discreetly positioned, ensuring maximum privacy and
tranquility.
Modern luxuries in the safari tents
include king size beds, white percale linen, heated bed sheet, deep
free-standing baths, dual basins, outdoor showers, bathrobes, tea & coffee
facility, complimentary mini bar, sitting area, desk, standing fan, oil heater,
outside sitting & dining area.
