Elephant Plains Game Lodge offers you comfortable and affordable style in one of the world's few remaining wilderness areas. Elephant Plains is a privately owned and operated property within the Sabi Sand Wildtuin, part of the 2, 2 million hectare Greater Kruger National Park. Over many years our strict conservation policies and successful habitat management have resulted in a rich diversity of fauna and flora. Here you will come face to face with Africas Big Five and may be lucky enough to encounter other rarer species such as the endangered wild dogs and cheetah. Accommodation The lodge features five spaciously appointed thatched rondavels. Each rondavel has its own distinct character and comfortable charm, and overlooks the beautifully landscaped garden. All rondavels have sun decks, en-suite bathrooms (bath and shower) and air-conditioning. Six luxury suites, decorated in warm, earthy tones blend in superbly with their natural surroundings as they overlook the dry riverbed in front of the lodge. These exclusive open-plan suites each have a lounge, double bedroom, en suite bathroom (inside/outside shower) and a private viewing deck. The Manyeleti Honeymoon Suite is surrounded by Jackalberry trees, nestled away deep inside the bush. The honeymoon suite boasts all the usual luxuries and also has a double outside shower as well as a sala and private plunge pool. Facilities Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style in the dining room or viewing deck and evening meals are served around a fire in the boma (weather permitting). Each meal is prepared with exquisite care and this, combined with the open-air setting, promise an unforgettable dining experience. Activities

Experience the thrill of discovering wildlife from the safety of open 4x4 vehicles. Your experienced game ranger and local Shangaan tracker are keen to share their extensive knowledge and love of the African bush with you. The day starts with an early morning game drive, then after breakfast a bush walk gives you the opportunity to learn about the smaller wonders of the veld. During the afternoon game drive you will stop at a carefully selected venue to enjoy a sundowner drink whilst watching the sun set over the awe-inspiring wilderness.
