KwaZulu Natal

Situated on the East Coast of South Africa KwaZulu Natal is home to modern day Zululand, which is partly made up of wildlife reserves and known for its beautiful savanna covered rolling hills and stunning views. Durban is the principal urban centre of KwaZulu Natal and South Africa’s main sea port. Follow the Midlands Meander, which lies outside of Pietermaritzburg, and take time to wander through the green fields and picturesque farms of the Midlands. Home to prize dairy herds, art and craft stores, Trout and Bass fishing, restaurants and micro breweries. Venture further inland and one can discover the breathtaking beauty of the Drakensberg Mountains and its sandstone caves with hidden treasures of between 35000 and 40000 works of bushman art. The region is also of historical importance where famous Anglo-Zulu battle’s such as Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana were bitterly fought. The area also offers visitors the opportunity to experience a traditional Zulu village.
